Sustainable Development

Hunan Lido always adheres to the business philosophy of "green, safe, and environmentally friendly", and the corporate goal of "sustainable development".

We collaborated with leading enterprises across the industry, to jointly develop a variety of green, low-carbon, biodegradable new materials. We participated in the drafting of the Chinese Group Standard of T/CPA 001—2021 "Water-based Coated Paper Cups (including Water-based Coating Raw Paper)", becoming one of the drafters of the Chinese National Standards of "Water-based Plastic-free Paper", and also participated in the revision of the Chinese National Standard for "Water-based Coated Paper and Paperboard for Food Packaging", "Paper Straws (including Straw Raw Paper)", "Paper Cutlery" etc.

The water-based barrier paper products we developed meet the demands of waterproof, oil-proof, and heat-resistant. It can maintain its stability and safety under high-temperature conditions such as microwave heating, and it has characteristics such as recyclable, repulpable, degradable, and home compostable. Truly realized the beautiful vision of "derived from nature, return to nature".

Natural Biodegradation Test of Water-based Barrier Paper products
Three different types of paper cups made of PEPLA and Water-Based paper were buried in a natural enviroment to conduct a natural decomposition, test and the experimental process and conclusions are as follows.

Experimental process: Place the PEPLA, and Water-Based paper cups in a pit in front of the research building and let them degrade naturally . After each excavation, Put them back and observe their condition.

After 85 days, the water-based paper cup had degraded into large pieces, while the PLA and PE cups remained in their original shape.
After 145 days, the water-based paper cup had degraded into small pieces, while the PLA and Pe cups still existed in large pieces, with only some fibers degraded.
After 245 days, the water-based paper cup had completely degraded, the fibers of PLA had been degraded, the film of PLA had ruptured, and the film of PE was basically intact.
Experimental conclusion: The degradation degree from high to low was Water-based barrier paper cup > PLA > PE .
